I took a marker and went down the hall to the bathroom of
dorm in which we were staying. On the wall of one stall
I wrote in big, permanent letters, "Hurry! Hurry! Shit
in Jordan's mouth!" Jordan was the camp's director and
had been the director of many summer programs I'd attended.
I considered him a friend, and I don't know why I did it. When he found it, he was really pissed. He stormed down the hall, got us all out of bed and sat us down in the hall in our pajamas. Nobody would admit to doing it, of course. Finally, he sent us back to our rooms. A little later, Jordan accused Tony of doing it and made him scrub it off. Tony protested his innocence loudly, but Jordan didn't believe him. The next morning, Dave and I threw the marker into the woods.
