Tim White tells me that the cover art was originally done for Brainwave, by Poul Anderson (New English Library, 1976). This WOTW cover is an unauthorized use of the artwork.

Levent Pekcan adds that the title actually translates as "Towards the End of the World". The publisher was apparently well-known for producing cheap, unlicensed works with bad translations and missing parts.
