David and I were playing in the yard of the school one evening. A
neighborhood cat came out onto the playground looking for attention.
David grabbed the cat and threw it as high as he could into the air.
It sailed up about twenty feet, the graceful arc of motion contrasting
dramatically with the frantic gyrations of the cat itself. It twisted,
all black coils and helixes, for what seemed like a minute, while
I cringed. It landed on it's feet. And took off like a bolt of lightning into the bushes.
